My Fair Lady 40th Anniversary Production - 2024

Set against the backdrop of London's bustling streets and opulent ballrooms, My Fair Lady follows the transformative journey of Eliza Doolittle, a spirited Cockney flower seller who catches the attention of the enigmatic phonetics professor, Henry Higgins. As Higgins takes on the challenge of refining Eliza's speech and manners, a captivating tale of love, identity, and societal expectations unfolds, culminating in a poignant exploration of self-discovery and empowerment.

With its unforgettable musical numbers, including I Could Have Danced All Night, On the Street Where You Live, and Wouldn't It Be Loverly, My Fair Lady continues to enchant audiences with its timeless melodies and poignant lyrics. Under Production Director and Eliza 40 years ago, Deian Ping’s direction with Julie Whiting as Musical Director and Bec Swain as Choreographer this production captured the essence of the original Broadway sensation while infusing it with fresh energy for today’s audience.

Accompanied by a full theatre orchestra, the lush orchestrations and sweeping melodies of Frederick Loewe's score soared to new heights, enveloping audiences in a symphony of sound that left hearts singing long after the final curtain fell.
