Sweet Charity - November 2012
SWEET CHARITY is set in New York City in the early 1960’s. Written by Neil Simon and originally conceived for the stage by Bob Fosse, SWEET CHARITY is a tender, poignant and consistently funny look at the misadventures in the ways of love encountered by the gullible and guileless lady named Charity Hope Valentine. Charity is working as a dance hall hostess and has few prospects in life but always dreams that there is something better in store for her, even though she always gives her heart and her dreams to the wrong man.
It features the classic song and dance numbers ‘Big Spender’, ‘If My Friends Could See Me Now’ and ‘The Rhythm of Life’
